Recently my sister said that you are only allowed to change the name of your blog one time…And I have officially broken that rule. Many times over.
I’ve been through a handful of blogging sites and probably at least a dozen different blog names…and here I am, changing it up…again!
Hopefully you’ll all forgive me!
I started my first blog in college and it mostly consisted of journaling. Then we went to China, where blogspot is NOT available, so the blog died.
When we got back, I started blog #2. I mostly wanted it to be about cooking. Which might seem a little lame since I am in no way a professional…but I seriously loved it! However, I am a cheapskate and didn’t want to pay for Internet at our house. So, unless I wanted to, of my own free will and choice, go over to BYU-Idaho’s campus to use their internet (which almost never happened), I was simply out of luck. Another blog dead.
For awhile, I’ve thought about what I want this blog to be. At first, I dreamed of just making it another food blog. But one of my favorite things about blogs is that the blogger can totally make it his/her own. She can include anything that she thinks is worthwhile. I love finding blogs that include a variety of things. That’s what makes it unique and gives the blogger a purpose for writing.
So, here we are (third time’s the charm!;), and my blog goals (it’s a new year, right?) that will set this blog apart from the others are:
- Post more consistently
- Post more quality content
- Improve (I like writing. I like taking pictures. I like the stuff I’ll be sharing. Buuuut it’s pretty obvious that I’m no pro. And that’s fine. My only hope is that my writing, photography and anything else I share on here will get better. I only ask for patience:)
- Be true to myself. I plan on posting things that are happening in my life. I plan on posting about things I enjoy. If I stumble onto something I find mildly interesting, I may share it.
So there you have it, peeps. My goals for this new blog.
Aaaaaaaand I hope you’re willing to come along for the ride 🙂
Kim, it’s great you started the blog. It really is neat seeing and hearing about your adventure. Keep up the great work, Pa
