Kiddo #3: He’s here!

October 13, 2021October 12, 2021 ~ Kim ~ 4 Comments

He's here! Our sweet baby boy finally came (yes, technically he was a few days early, but, believe me, I was ready for him to come). Labor was long (I am good at a lot of things. Labor is not one of them) but all in all things went well and he's been healthy and … Continue reading Kiddo #3: He’s here!

April 26, 2017April 26, 2017 ~ Kim ~ Leave a comment

Shoot, I feel like I just did one of these...probably because I did! Ha! Here's April in review:) Good General Conference, anyone? I love it every time and this time was no different. So many good things! I need to get going on re-reading/listening. Easter! Another weekend I always enjoy. Since Wendy is not to … Continue reading April GBOMB

November/December Things

January 6, 2017 ~ Kim ~ Leave a comment

Sorrynotsorry about the whole never posting thing. I've definitely been a slacker the past couple months...but I do feel like I have a valid excuse. The past 2 months have completely flown by. I can't believe it's January and I can't believe we've welcomed in a new year! Blows. My. Mind. I'm hoping to get my … Continue reading November/December Things

She’s Here!

November 16, 2016November 15, 2016 ~ Kim ~ 3 Comments

****shameless amounts of pictures up in here...**** Baby Girl Brown is here!!! I was pretty patient with the waiting until about a week before her due date. When she still wasn't here on her due date, I basically decided that she was never going to come. But she did come (ha! Imagine that!)! She came … Continue reading She’s Here!

And Then There was Internet…

August 29, 2016August 29, 2016 ~ Kim ~ 3 Comments

Guys! It's official! We have Internet! Which is a big deal because in our whole lives neither Ben or I have paid for or hooked up Internet. True story. When we lived in Rexburg, we went 2 years without it because we were cheap. And everyone wondered about our sanity. But now we have it! … Continue reading And Then There was Internet…

Living my best summer life in a new make: a Union St. Tee hacked into a dress (one of the easiest hacks ever-literally just extending the hemline). Super comfy and breezy and I love it. The fabric is a beautiful striped knit from LAFinch Fabrics (have I mentioned I love them? because I do) #unionstreettee #unionsttee #heyjunepatterns #heyjunehandmade #youcanhackit #lovetosew #makersgonnamake #sewistsofinstagram #lafinchfabrics
On the blog: Stuff I Learned From The Curated Closet-a book I definitely needed in my repertoire. #lovetosew #thecuratedcloset #memadewardrobe
I made some Hudson Pants out of performance wear knit a couple months ago (as my comfy quarantine outfit) and I love them! They’re surprisingly cool and I don’t have to tell you that they’re comfortable! Fabric is performance/swimwear knit from #lafinchfabrics and my top is a #unionsttee . Short post about them on the blog 🤗#makersgonnamake #heyjunepatterns #sewistsofinstagram #lovetosew #imakemyclothes #quarantineootd #hudsonpants #truebiaspatterns
So photo shoots with the girls aren’t always a success...but check out these jumpsuits! These are Hoppe Jumpsuits from #straightgrain and I made 5 of these with just 2 yards of fabric! The fabric is a super soft double brushed poly from #raspberrycreekfabrics and I think they turned out super cute. Plus they have pockets! There’s a post on the blog #hoppejumpsuit #makersgonnamake #sewistsofinstagram #sewingforkids #mamamaker #lovetosew #ithaspockets
Another one of my Union St. Tees-and probably my most worn. I made it from a combed Jersey knit from LA Finch fabric and it’s amazing! It’s light but sturdy and it doesn’t wrinkle 🙌 #hjj2020 #unionsttee #unionstreettee #heyjunehandmade #lafinchfabrics #makersgonnamake #sewistsofinstagram #imakeclothes
One of the fads that made the rounds while I was in high school was girls wearing men’s white v-neck tee shirts? Was that a thing in anyone else’s high school? (For the record: I was fully on board with this fad). I made this v-neck with left over fabric from a shirt I made my husband. I expected to wear it never because toddlers, but like the other 2 Union St. Tees I own, it’s worked it’s way into easy and often rotation. The prompt for Hey June June is MOST and of all the tee patterns I’ve tried out, these ones are definitely my favorite and most worn 🙌 #hjj2020 #heyjunejune #heyjunehandmade #unionstreettee #unionsttee #arenitepants #sewliberated #imakemyclothes #makersgonnamake #sewistsofinstagram #ilovetosew
